Day 1- Newark and NYC…?!
The human spirit is resilient. This morning, we watched the sunrise in Newark, NJ instead of dusk in Delhi. Due to dangerous high winds and resulting delays, we missed our connecting flight to Delhi last night. But never fear, positivity abounds! I am SO impressed by the flexibility, optimism and willingness of these young people and my fellow chaperone to embrace the adventure with a smile. In addition, they have demonstrated their mad card-playing skills, joyful enthusiasm over the free “gift” from United (overnight kits) and expert hustle-and-wait method of navigating the airport terminals, escalators, trams, and shuttles without a hitch!
We commenced celebration and adventure on Day 2 at IHOP before continuing our airport “tour” at EWR and JFK and now await our flights to FRA and finally DEL. Stay tuned for more adventures!
